Tapering

This morning's swim ended up being 20:01 instead of 30 because I needed that extra 10 minutes to pack. That means that I didn't do the 1,500 I was at least hoping to complete, but I did complete 1,150, timing the hundreds. They were all at a very leisurely pace--probably about 65-70% perceived effort.
  • 1:39.90
  • 1:46.98
  • 1:46.98
  • 2:39.50 (here's where the extra 50 came in)
  • 1:43.94
  • 1:43.31
  • 1:43.43
  • 1:45.33
  • 1:44.47
  • 1:43.58
  • 1:43.68
Then I did 5 on, 10 off thru 30, thinking about working harder than the last time I worked out. I want to get faster!
  • Lunge R, L: I really thought about pulling into the deepest position possible.
  • Glute ham: I really thought about pulling with my hamstrings and glutes.
  • Push up on knees: I really thought about keeping my sternum/chest up while pulling into the deepest position possible. I did an extra 20 seconds on this one.
