On Wednesday, my first 8 minutes were almost perfect, and the final 6 were almost awful. I still ended up averaging OK, but it was a rough finish. On Friday, I was much more consistent and executed the workout much better with almost exactly the same results.

It is also a relay and has 4 legs: orange, pink, blue, and white. It also has a total elevation gain of 3,133 feet, so there's a lot of climbing. Hence the slow speed. Saturday was the Country Music Half Marathon, and I ran it as a pacer. I had to carry that sign you see in the picture above for the time on it, with the goal of crossing the finish line at that time. Although carrying the sign was part of the job, the main part was motivating and pacing anyone with me (or seeing me) to finish in their goal time.
